Anybody use the London Times in college selection

Can't wait to see how many people will admit to this!

Any takers?

Listen if you went to a school that London Times ranked poorly, then all you have to do is ask yourself why that ranking ranked your school poorly.

There are many different criteria to judge universities. But self improvement is clearly a goal of everybody.

Hi, my name is Robert and I went to University of Massachusetts. I used to think that it was a second rate state school, but after subscribing to the London Times Higher Education supplement I was amazed at the results! Not only did THES improve my school's ranking over night, but it allowed me to move ahead the likes of Duke, Brown, Dartmouth, Northwestern, Georgetown, Wisconsin, and Rice. I can now point and laugh at all my friends who attend schools out of the THES Top 20 because they will never be anything in life going to such bottom-feeder universities. Thanks London Times! Without your help, I would have NEVER gotten to the point that I am at today.

My friend's headed to SUNY Stony Brook, pretty damn good school considering it's ranked higher by THES than Dartmouth.

Hi, I'd rather not give my name....I ended up at Dartmouth.

Damn you UMass!

We all knew that UMass was better than Darmouth, Duke, and Brown combined! Also, Berkeley is way superior to Stanford, Yale, MIT, and Princeton. UT Austin is better than Columbia. SUNY Brook is clearly ivy material.

I was so ignorant this whole time. However, now I see the light!

I too have felt the shame of having not applied to UMass.

ok berkeley IS better than stanford =)
