I’m thinking of applying next year…I moved to NYC on my own when I was 17 to perform in musical theater and went back to school in Sept 2007 to a four year school (I was 22). I have a 4.0 cumulative GPA after six semesters, all full time while working at my full time job, some 100 and 200 level classes but mainly 300. I really want to do either this program or regular transfer at Columbia. What are my chances? Is it worth applying? My high school grades were decent…National Honor Society and a 3.8 for most of school but that dipped senior year to a 3.2 because I spent a lot of time in a show and missed many classes. But I’ve heard high school doesn’t really factor in? I’m 24 now, will be 25 by the time I apply…is that around the average age? I don’t like rejection (thank you Captain Obvious) so if I have no chance of getting in, I don’t want to waste the time and money. I’m also looking at UC Berkeley and UVA. Thanks!

Starfish and Lachute… you both keep up your hard work. Depending on your background and the uniqueness of your personality then it’s possible. I’ve read a few posts here and some people can be very rude to other people or candidate. Just remember that it’s all about personality as many of us are competative applicants according to our genersl stats already… I’ll be applying next year as well hope all goes well!

I got the letter today.
