Initials MC, and I have there the electronic versions.
Any idea how long will it take the package to get to me? A letter I sent to US travelled 5 or 6 days by normal post. They said they sent it by FedEx so I hope it will be here earlier…(Monday or Tuesday…)

mine is T. Still see nothing…

lets wait! that is all we can do…:)

D is in! Unfortnately I doubt we will be able to afford it.

I got waitlisted. At least it’s better than a rejection :)

anybody else still unable to access their decision?
all I see is: “Your Decision is currently unavailable, please check back after .”

my initials are DL, so there is no way they are going in alphabetical order. is it possible that they skipped me? forgot to post my decision?

maybe they are going regionally? I live on the east coast. although, they did send information to international kids.

HELP.

same here click on the link right under your decision is unavailable. initials are jg. midwest

My S (initials KS) was accepted (he will be very happy),but I am confused about the merit aid situation.

The banner says “Due to a blizzard that closed Grinnell College’s administrative office for two days this week, **Early Decision I **financial aid packages will not be available for review until early next week.” But S applied RD, not ED1.

did anyone get merit or needs based info with their acceptance letter?

OMG this really blows; tried to login about hour ago to get decision and apparently am locked out of the account; can’t login and the help desk number is not answering. You’d think they would be around just for these possibilities. Don’t know how account can be locked up if you only try to login once. Frustrating and wonder if it is an omen.

S is in! We are so thrilled, as it is in his top two.

reboot your computer and try again! may be that helps…

Yeah the website is kinda errorred…no place to register in the waitlist online yet, maybe check back a few days lateR?

Waitlisted. I kind of would have rather been denied. It’s just so stressful waiting.

To those who are on the waitlist:

I applied last year as an RD candidate and was put on the waitlist. I hadn’t visited, nor had I had an interview, and I’ve never really spoken to the admissions people before that point. When I found out I was waitlisted, I responded immediately and did everything I could to put myself out there as a legitimate candidate. On April 30th I got a call from admissions, asking me if I still wanted to go, so I said yes, and the next day I received a second call saying that my acceptance has been processed.

What I’m saying is that if you were put on the waitlist, you still have a chance! If you were put on the waitlist, then it means that you would’ve been accepted otherwise, but usually your position on the waitlist at Grinnell reflects how much interest you’ve shown to the people reading your application. Both accepted and waitlisted students have proven their academic potential; the college puts people on the waitlist if they’re not sure that Grinnell is their first choice (or if Grinnell’s overall social and academic climate isn’t the best fit). The best thing you can do is to email or call the admissions office and ask them if there’s anything you can do to strengthen your application. As long as you prove that you want to go to Grinnell, you still have a strong chance of getting in. Just be active about it!

Also, I haven’t heard much about other waitlisted students who got in, but for me financial aid was a huge deal… Grinnell met my needs completely, even though I got in off the waitlist. (Just to reiterate that financial aid isn’t something to worry about in the process of getting admitted)

I don’t even see a link. My page is completely blank other than “Your Decision is currently unavailable, please check back after.”

yes, the website is making people crazy!

mypsych, S was locked out, too. Unfortunately, S needed the helpdesk staff to get unlocked. I bet the helpstaff will be available later today–though that doesn’t get you the info now!

that was well said space-case!

now, this is just to distract our anxieties!

why does the page read “Blackboard Academic Suite” in the title??? ;)

still see nothing, should I continue hoping…
