I'm currently in a 5th year program getting a masters. My school is one of the few that has a track where if you go to the school for 4 years then you can go get a masters for free. It's a good deal but the problem with my program is that the class schedule sucks. Classes are from 6:30pm-9:30pm from M-Thurs. I think the idea was to cater the program to working professionals.

Anyways, I have to take at least 13 classes (8 core requirements and 5 electives) and because of the class schedule this means that I'll have summer classes in order to finish. What is annoying is that the elective classes are much more interesting than the core classes and it is because of the core classes that I have to stay an extra semester. It reminds of my undergrad years taking useless classes that I needed to graduate. I felt like I wasted a semester. What do you think about core classes, perspectives, or what ever you call them... What do you think about core requirements in colleges and universities? | my-take.com Anyone else in a similar situation?
