<p>This was over 8 months ago and the only reason I was semi-concerned/believed in the email’s plausibility was because that was my first time getting spam on my UCLA email. Up to that point, I hadn’t used that email address for anything other than official school stuff so I didn’t see how a spammer could have gotten my email address. Now I know that all of our information is public record as UC students which would explain all that.</p>
