<p>In my particular case I was told that it has moved to more of a one on one review stage in an effort to find me more money. I was told by another woman that if I wasn’t going to receive any money I would have been notified by now. So basically, I know that nothing bad will come from it heading to the appeals committee. Either they will give me more money, or they will give me what ever amount they had originally planned to give me. I really don’t think the guy on the phone was supposed to tell me all the things he told me though. Haha</p>
<p>Also, I was told that I might not hear back until Monday of next week.</p>
<p>Yeah I was also told I’d hear back by the beginning of next week, although I was told two weeks ago that I’d hear by last Friday, so no high hopes.</p>
<p>Oh well. Patience is a virtue.</p>

<p>I also got a good package for the situation I was in. I had a very middle of the road EFC and ended up with a reasonable amount of aid. Even though my cost of attendance is fairly higher than my EFC, it’s reasonable enough so that I can go to USC. Fight on!</p>

<p>i jus got my package today. my moms income is 27k, my income is about 5k. i only got 8k, most of it is in loans. i want to go to usc sooooo badly. i dont have great back ups. they said the reason is because i own 3 houses and i got a lot of money from dividends. i now have to choose between uc davis and uc riverside. i have no idea which one to choose.</p>
<p>What a drag xcrunner! Maybe you can regroup and transfer in the next couple of years from one of the two UC’s you were accepted to. I would think UC Davis would be a better choice from a prestige point of view. </p>

<p>If you cannot get through, call the admissions department for your major. For example, if you are in Viterbi, call the Viterbi admissions office. Perhaps they could assist you as May 1 is Friday as you know.</p>
