I’m in the same boat as you. I wish I could cancel my order to be honest since I’ve already bought tests now that they’re more available.
OP here. I got my tests today!!! Only 4 days late. My e-mail on the 7th said that they would come on the 10th. They languished in Memphis for 4 days and I got them today!! They expire in July.
Why would you cancel an order for FREE tests? You never know when someone you know might suddenly need some. We have had that happen several times and were glad we could run some tests over to our friends/relatives who needed quick feedback.
Just because other people might need them more than I do at this point.
I’m sure a community center or other non-profit org working with people would love to take any tests you don’t want off your hands.
Hmm, well my mom lives 2 miles from me (same town) - she got her shipping notification Friday and her tests arrived yesterday. Me? Still nada, and I know I ordered first because I’m the one who sent her the link!
Hers are BinaxNow, expiring in October.
I finally got an email that my tests would be delivered Thursday, then another one that it would be Tuesday. They came yesterday - iHealth with a 7/22 expiration date.
I need to find out more about the expiration dates…are these accurate…or not. Mine also expire in July.
Got the notification - finally! Greater Seattle area here. We have close to 80% of total population vaccinated in my zip code, people are good with masks, and our hospitals were not completely overwhelmed with Omicron, so that probably explains why we were at the back of the line.
I got 2 emails that they are going to be delivered, I forgot whether I ordered one for my husband or not.
Anyway, somebody in our bridge club had covid and I was sitting in the same table with him 2-3 weeks ago. It would be nice to find out if I was exposed or not.
@DrGoogle123 it’s only one order per household. So if you ordered for yourself, you can’t use the same address for your husband.
These are rapid tests; will only tell you if you have antigens now, not antibodies from earlier.
Free tests were also available through the state, so I ordered some as soon as I got the email. I posted about it on a Facebook page, and people said that within hours, the supply was exhausted.
It tests for current infection, not remote exposures.
Thanks, I won’t be using them then.
Well…you won’t be using them for an exposure three weeks ago. But you may have a need in the future.
I ordered the COVID tests on Jan 18 and didn’t get them until Feb. 10. No real need for them, but hey, they were free.
I don’t remember when I ordered them, but they arrived today. Neither DH nor I have had any reason to test during the pandemic, so I’m not sure why I ordered them, but we have them if we ever need them.
You don’t need them until you do.
DH, triple vaxxed, spent time with one of his best friends, also triple vaxxed. They watched a basketball game together with 3 other vaxxed friends. Best friend tested positive 3 days later. DH had to repeatedly test over a period of 10 days, since he spends considerable time with his elder parents. Glad we had test kits so he didn’t have to try to find a place in town.
All 4 of the guys who watched the game with best friend tested negative over a period of 10 days.
Yes, it seems like my daughter keeps getting exposed so I wanted to have tests on hand for her. I haven’t taken I my e test yet but she’s taken several. All negative.
