Anyone else play Minesweeper?

For a game that comes preloaded on just about every Windows machine, it seems like very few people actually know how to play the game. Of course CC seems like a place where more people would be able to. It'd be interesting to see other best times on here.

Anyone else here use Minesweeper Clone?

according to this article, people have spent more time playing minesweeper than any other computer game in history. i’m not sure if i believe this, but it’s certainly interesting.

Mine’s 8, and I thought that was good.

It’s not that hard to believe given how addicting the game is. Sometimes I’ll start playing for a break, and an hour and a half later I’ll still be playing. Often I don’t stop until I break a record. I also play a lot at school.

I still think relatively few people actually play it. I’ve seen a lot of people open up the game, wildly click around, lose several times and stop.

i haven’t been able to play it ever since i got a mouse with a touchpad

Beginner is mostly luck. I’ve gotten 5 or better less than 5 times, and I’ve only once gotten better than 5.

I should also add that I don’t have Vista, and I much prefer the XP version of the game (though I use Clone most often).

The game is very addicting. The Windows Vista version is not as great as the older ones. I just stop playing. My school deleted all the games from the computer. They also blocked some the programs that games could run on.

i used to love minesweeper
but i had to stop playing because i would play for hours
same with solitare - wouldnt stop till i broke a record

beginner: 4 seconds. I got lucky.

Didn’t play the next levels, too lazy, meh.

This happened to me too. I first played a lot in 9th grade, but it came obsessive so I stopped. I just took it up again a couple months ago, and it’s becoming a bit obsessive again.

I used to be obsessed with it. Though now I’m using a Mac, and all of the third party Minesweeper clones are crap.

Have you tried this:

I tried playing but I suck, I always click on the mines lol

Curiously, my computer crashed as I opened the Minesweeper applet. Perhaps the level of graphics is too high for my computer to handle?

But guessing based on prior history playing,I was pretty pro.

Expert Level was as low as 7-9 seconds.

I can’t remember my times because they are on my desktop and I’m on the laptop now (and I don’t play on here because I HATE THE VISTA MINESWEEPER! UGH! incredibly annoying… plus my desk is so messed up right now I don’t have room to use the wireless mouse. lol. touchpad minesweeper is… lame… to say the least). Anyway. I love minesweeper though.

I don’t know how to play AT ALL.

Someone teach me?

I don’t play that much. I never understood how people could get under 10, isn’t that just guessing?

I despise that game just because I suck at it and it’s mostly on luck.

^Lol, no it isn’t “mostly on luck” at all…
