Ya that was the thing that got me interested about MIT lol

anyone ever been inside that classroom where they did the meetings?

Ya that was the thing that got me interested about MIT lol

anyone ever been inside that classroom where they did the meetings?

i never knew there was a book, watched the movie though, lol, it was good

is the book similar to the movie?

haha no it is in no way similar to that movie with Queen Latifah...haha that is the farthest you can get...

It is about these MIT students that won millions of dollars at Vegas by card-counting I believe.

he could be talking about the history channel specials, in which case, yes they're similar

It seemed like a really cool idea. I heard it is not real though. And I only finished half the book, since i read it at my cousins house in New York, and didn't finish.

I just finished reading that book!! It was awesome and I wish casinos didn't have all the restrictions against card counting that they have now, or I would start my own blackjack team! I thought the book really portrayed the "spirit" of MIT, to generalize greatly, and I definetly recommend the book to everyone. It kind of reminds me of Ocean's 11, but legal.

Great book!

It is a true story (with of course, a bunch of the facts altered), but in general true. The main character, Kevin, is an alum of my frat and an awesome guy (used to be the water polo coach at MIT). Some of the stuff he did was crazy.

The book, please excuse my colloquialsim, kicks major ass! My friends and I actually tried counting out, it's a lot of fun, but probably infinitiely easier than an actual casino setting. Not that it's possible to do anymore, but it's a great moral booster for those who suck at poker like me, lol.

.....it wasn't poker! It was blackjack. You can't cardcount in poker pshh

i read that book in a single seating. I loved it. They have a website i think. one of the guys i think fisher in the booker is mitmike or something like that or the site.

I know you can't card count in poker. I'm not good at poker, so I compensate by playing blackjack well thanks to card counting. No offense, but I really don't see how I was misleading.

Oh, I see....

My friends were talking about some MIT card counters at my statistic class.

Personally, I found normal curves very aesthetically pleasing.

Ummm....I count cards in hearts and spades, does that count? :p

Well have you ever been to that classroom in the infinite corridors where they did the meetings?
