I have a student interested in double majoring in Russian and French. She will be entering with a high level of proficiency in French (she was evaluated as being mid-int level this past summer when she was a rising Jr) and with 4 yrs of Russian. We have seen on their website that they do offer upper level courses that are actually taught in the languages vs. in English. Dd’s personal goals are to achieve high-advanced to superior levels of proficiency in both. Does anyone know it that is a realistic goal through the their dept? We have been to so many universities where the graduation goal is high-intermediate and the programs are not designed for students to progress to higher levels.
Dd is going to contact the dept directly, but I was curious if anyone had any info to share.
Thanks!
