Anyone Have A Hard Time Choosing A Major

i need to know what school would be best to go to for acting...

Math / Econ / Far East Asian Studies

I was always good with numbers, and calculus in high school was a breeze. I normally wanted to do political science, but after taking some classes, I found it to be rather drabby. I loved the socio-psychological aspect of it though, but I couldn't take the "politics" of it. Oh well.

Economics and minor in Far East Asian studies were for more practical reasons.

Majoring in Physics, Computer Science, and Electrical Engineering.

Sometimes, people seem torn between thinking that I'm awesome smart for knowing all that stuff, and thinking that I'm an indecisive naive little punk who thinks he can actually pull off any of that.

The six year plan, eh?

Business (BS in Economics pretentiousness) and Computer Science.

Love CS, hate business.

To the guy who is triple majoring:

I think you're neither. I just think you're making the mistake many people do and thinking that you have to justify the classes you take for fun and/or learning with a major. Personally, especially considering how related the topics are, I'd try and do some sort of submatriculation in one of the and/or take grad level classes and go as deep as posisble, forgetting all the schizophrenia involved in needless triple majors. It's not a matter of pulling it off. It's just kind of pointless.

I am majoring in biological sciences. I have always had an interest in science and in bio, so it was a no brainer for me. However I couldn't narrow it down to mcb, or pnb. I also have an interest in econ., so I might end up having a double major in econ. with a minor in human rights. however if I do all this, I will be on the 5-6 year plan.

Probably sociology here. I want a major that lets me work outside the us in 3rd world working to better living conditions and that sort of thing. Not sure if this is the best major, but as far as I know it is the only one for this sort of thing I want to do o.O

When I transfer I will be double majoring in Anthropology & Geology. I want to study archaeology, among other things. I have always been interested in science and civilizations.

I'm probably just going to major in math and minor in as many things as possible. I'm thinking German, music performance, and computer science for sure.

I am a physics major because I found myself once jumping up and down from excitement after my freshman physics course and realized I would be doing physics for the rest of my life. Just like that.

Nice to see so many astrophys people here by the way. :)

cool, I hope something similar will happen to me after I get in (somewhere)

Electrical engineering at Case Western. Sucks, I hate it, but with the amount of student loans im using i have to do something that will make money.

Petroleum Engineering at the University of Oklahoma.

I have exactly 0 interest in anything related to petroleum or engineering, but I want to make a lot of money and i'm getting a full ride for PE. I honestly do not expect to be a petroleum engineering out of college; I want to try my luck in the music industry. However, it will be nice to have petroleum engineering (60-80k right out of college) to fall back on.

I am a Computer Science major. I really enjoyed my CompSci classes in high school so much that I decided to make it my major. It just so happens to have a really good job outlook right now. Yes, some CompSci jobs are being out sourced, but for every 1 outsourced job, even more are created here in the US.

Well, when I went to Japan in my junior year of high school I knew I wanted to minor in and stick with! I went to college with a major declared in mind International Relations. My school doesn't have it so I when with International Business. Can never go wrong with International Business :D

Animal Science major, because I love it and it helps fulfull the courses I'll need to go to vet school in a few years...also Zoology and Psychology minors, because I find the courses in those disciplines really fascinating and useful

not only will you make good money, but Petro. companies take VERY good care of you and a potential family. Everything from loans, benefits, job security, even housing.

I worked at Marathon-Ashland in Texas City, and there are workers there who have been Operators for 30-50 years.

I've been having doubts about mine recently. I plan to do a theatre performance major with minor in history and business, but right now, my least favorite class is acting... And I'm beginning to think maybe it's not right for me as a major, but I can't imagine not acting.

Currently Political Science, because I really like politics.

BUT, I dont know if I can see myself getting a good job with that degree, so I might change to Computer Science.

Electrical engineering. My parents chose it, not me. I hated it.

film, theatre, or communication disorders.

i can't make up my mind. :/
