Anyone have any informatin on Ocotillo Hall?

I just got assigned there and was wondering if it’s a good dorm, or if I should just ask to be switched to a different one. Is it all freshmen in this dorm? or also upperclassmen?

Its a south campus dorm. Close to a lot of things, including the business school, herberger, barrett, student union, off-campus fast-food, and ihop. Its nice, I've seen one of the rooms. It's tougher when it comes to temperature control because it leads to the outside, but it gets better when its not so hot.

I'm not sure about freshman vs. upperclassman, but out of all the people I know who lived there, they were all freshman, and enjoyed it. Nothing too crazy, not too boring. Just average.

Would you recommend it over a dorm like Palo Verde East or West? I was thinking about switching to either one of those.

PV East and West are on north campus, close to a lot of food, college ave, mill ave., more dorms, health services, science departments. It's a great spot. We loved north campus when it came to the dining options (manzy cafeteria, devil's diner, devil's bistro, devil's green, restaurants along college ave and mill ave). Its far away from a lot of classes, but I don't think that's a deal-breaker. The PV's are party dorms, along with most of north campus, so if you're looking for that, then that would be a good choice. But I'm sure you could find peace there as well. Good luck.
