My D will be finishing her sophomore year and is interested in a foreign language immersion program for a few weeks this summer. I've done some research and came upon Amerispan that looks like an interesting option. Does anyone have any experience with Amerispan that they could share?

If she is taking AP Spanish junior year (as my daughter did) I would really recommend the 4-week program at Concordia Language Villages. If you do htis, AP Spanish is a breeze.

I don't mean to clutter the Amerispan thread with stuff on Concordia Language Villages but here's my input: My daughter took the 2-week course the summer before AP Spanish. It was a lot of fun and it helped a bit for AP Spanish. Others took the 4-week course the summer before AP Spanish. The 4 week course has considerably more homework and academics - it helped a lot with AP Spanish. (Not as culturally enriching as Spanish Study Abroad but an easy and fun way to improve your Spanish.)

Well we are thinking alike. My D plans to take AP French next year and thought a couple of weeks of french immersion this summer would help, and be a lot of fun. We're looking at either the program in Paris or Switzerland. Anyone else have expereince with Amerispan?
