Anyone have the reputational survey of USNews?

After reading about its methodology, i have become curious to see this. Thanks alot.

You want to know what they are reporting the methodology to be or the score for a particular school?

Do you mean the Peer Assessment survey? I have a sample paper copy of the "Universities - Masters (North)" version. What do you want to know?

I believe he is talking about peer assessment scores from previous years.

I have a copy also but I would need to know what school.

is it a ranking or is it just a composite score?

If its a ranking id like to see the top 30, thank you.

Haha and what's a 5.0? Cambridge?

alexandre - thanks alot, i searched but i couldnt find a ranking of this sort.

I dont understand how schools like UIUC made it on here and schools like Tufts didnt.

aca, I think some schools disproportionately benefit from one stellar program, carrying the whole school higher. Carnegie Mellon's Computer Science school, UIUC's and Georgia Tech's engineering do just that.

im beginning to think its the opposite. UIUC has something like 30 programs ranked in the top 25....i doubt tufts has anywhere near that.

ACA, be very carefull, the Peer assessment score is not an absolute...it is an estimate. Dartmouth and Northwestern get scores of 4.4 whereas Chicago and Johns Hopkins get scores of 4.6. A school like Tufts gets a rep score of 3.7...Illinois gets 4.0. There isn't a difference at that level. Both are awesome...it just depends on what you want to get out of your college experience. Tufts and Illinois are completely different universities. Both are amazing (equally respected as the peer assessment score clearly shows), but they are worlds apart in terms of environment and culture. Chosing one over the other should reflect one's own personality and expectations.
