Yeah the school is still expensive with the scholarship.Just wondering, what’s the average scholarship amount? What did everyone else get?
I got $22,560

@Nicolezzz13 Son got $19K (also honors program). I think $24-25K is the highest AJ Drexel available. His stats are slightly inside of yours, so makes some sense. But Drexel is known as one of the most expensive colleges in the country (there are a bunch of other threads on CC about that). The on-campus housing is really expensive, I’ve heard students do better living off campus generally, but it’s still pretty expensive for what it is.

my son got $26,430 (16k Drexel grant and 10k AJDrexel scholarship) and still a lot of left from $69.9k total price. @Nicolezzz13, is Drexel cheaper for you than NEU? We’ll see after FAFSA what is affordable for us.

I got 25k. Still pretty expensive though

I got 26,880 from the AJ Drexel Scholarship

ACT: 35
GPA: 4.0
Class Rank: 1/500

I got $56,690 including the $5,000 they gave me in loans.

When you guys say scholarship, is that including grants/loans?

I received $18,000 grant and a $15,750 A.J Drexel Scholarship. $33,750 is a decent amount but it’s still pretty expensive.

I got 30K of FA. 23K from Drexel Grant and 7K from AJ Drexel Scholarship.

guys, do not give up yet that Drexel is too expensive. Wait till FAFSA tell’s you what you can afford and how much school need to adjust their scholarship or fed will give you some aid too for you to attend the school. Wait till april, that’s when all decision happens.

Drexel thinks our EFC is $25,000 more than any other school has indicated.

He got $10,440 Drexel Grant and AJ Drexel Scholarship, and also the Federal loan total was $5,500 and another school is offering him $8,500 (Perkins included).

With the COA $5,000 higher, and $8,000 less aid, Drexel would be $13,000 more than his ED choice. Both would hurt us financially, he’ll go with the one that will hurt us less financially.

I have an agreement with my son that he will do at least one preferably two co-ops at his college; he picked Drexel because of their strong co-op program.

If you’ve run NPCs and calculated your EFC on a government website, you should have a good idea what your family can afford. Can’t wait for other offers due to ED.

Good luck to everyone who attends - a friend of ours went to Drexel and really enjoyed it.

Are the financial aid awards in our Drexel portal guaranteed to give it to us or is it just an estimate amount that I can receive when I attend Drexel?

I forgot to post but I got $49,390 total. $28,200 was from the AJ Drexel while $15,690 was in grants. Another $5,500 was from loans… Not sure if I’d be using those. (32 ACT, 4.0 UW 4.149.UW) Accepted to honors as well, business econ.
