<p>I am a transfer student, I was accepted and paid my intent to enroll. I took Stats at UCLA extension so it wasnt on my Santa Monica College transcript so they rescinded my admission. I immediately sent over the transcript from UCLA and am still waiting on a decision about readmission. </p>
<p>I have been checking this forum multiple times a day, thank you to those contributing. Good luck everybody. </p>
<p>In my letter I put: the only class I am missing isn’t offered at my CC, my major isn’t offered at CSUSM, I’m unable to move out of the area because I have guardianship of my nephew and have to provide visitation to his parents, I took up to 19 units/semester to be able to graduate with my husband who is a student there, and I included two letters of reference from professors of my major classes. Mine was approved.</p>

<p>I checked my web portal. I got an email the next morning. I’m moving so my mail is being held, I can only assume they sent me something at some point also.</p>
<p>I called today and I was told I had been denied given that there is no space available for my major (Criminal Justice).

<p>@TomMac33 I got a letter today and I got denied The letter was very simple and just said that they don’t have any available space. Basically the same bs that they said on webportal…</p>

<p>Why wouldn’t they just tell us on the phone that we were denied then? Cuz they told everyone else that they were denied on the phone. </p>

<p>I got in!! 6 weeks of ■■■■■■■■ my pants and i logged into portal today and it said admitted. Hospitality major. I wish everyone the best, it is completely unfair how long they made people wait for this decision. </p>
<p>@tommac It’s because those people called, but I’m sure they sent out letters to everyone. They can’t be making calls for everyone :P</p>
<p>I called in too but they told me they sent out a letter and that they couldn’t tell what it said. So they couldn’t tell me if I was denied or accepted. </p>

<p>I believe they do accept Spring Transfers depending upon if they have room in our particular major. I would email admissions since it looks like a lot of the Fall Transfer majors will filled this year. </p>
I know it was a while since your post, but if you don’t mind me asking what was your gpa when you appealed? I just sent my appeal letter and im a poli sci major too. @trnsfrstdnt818
I’m a transfer appeal and an admissions rep just emailed me yesterday (I had email first to confirm that it was received) saying mine is under review (it was sent in April 6th) and I’ll hear by mail from mid May to June
@califorlife5 i got an email today saying all my documents had been received and is now under review by the appeals committee. however, I’m a freshman. what were your stats for your appeal? SDSU is my dream school
@hopefullySDSU I have a 3.3 GPA (but that’s only from one semester b/c I have really weird circumstances) but I’m also asking them to review my ACT and SAT scores, as originally I hadn’t submitted them. Respectively, those are 31 and 1980. I’m a comm. major. SDSU is mine too! I got in as a freshman but couldn’t afford it so now I’m just praying I get my second chance
