Just curious for more info on it, as it is a very small school.
Tough to get into or just not very popular?
Difficult classes?

SESP is small because that style suits the school best. It is not unpopular, just more unknown. People hear about it and assume "teachers" when it is really much more than that. My experience in SESP has been nothing but positive; it's a great way to make a big school like NU feel smaller and more personal.

Smaller, discussion-based classes, FANTASTIC advising, dinners at the dean's house, knowing everyone in your class, and so on, really make it a great place to be. It is also very versatile, with majors ranging from psych to secondary education to policy to business. SESP generally has the highest GPA of NU's schools I believe, probably due to smaller/mildly easier classes. (I mean, who can compare a discussion class about development to organic chemistry?)

The grad program is ranked 6th in the nation, and this esteem carries through to the undergrad level.
