Anyone know about the English dept at GW?

I want to major in English and I'm trying to choose between Northeastern University and GW, but I want to know which college is better for my major. Can someone tell me what they know about the English dept. at GW? Or even the general humanities?

My daughter is going to GW next year and is NOT interested in the English dept. But I am, so I went to the department page and the course listings. If you are interested in creative writing, it looks like a very good department (my field); I was also impressed to see that GW offers advanced Shakespeare courses at the Folger Shakespeare Library. It lists internships there as well. It’s a large department.

NE, of course, is based on co-ops. I’m not sure how that pertains to English majors. Seems more suited to professional interests.

Check out the web sites for both, read about the faculty, and tap into the course descriptions.

Best of luck!

^thanks howtofind

does anyone else have thoughts on this?
