<p>Yes, it’s $1,000 one time. The deadline was 12/9 but I got an email saying it had been extended to 12/12. </p>

On behalf of The Comcast Foundation, we are pleased to inform you that you have been selected as a 2012-2013 Comcast Leaders and Achievers® Scholarship program recipient. The scholarship is an award of $1,000 and is not renewable. The scholarship must be used in the 2012-2013 academic year and applied to educational expenses at an accredited, nonprofit college, university, or vocational/technical school in the United States.</p>
<p>We are proud to recognize the efforts of young people who are helping make our communities stronger and applaud you for your achievements. We wish you the best of luck as you pursue your future goals."</p>

It seems so random… a few people have received the news they won the scholarship over the last few weeks, but I’ve received no updates or news at all from Comcast since applying. I’m hoping my application was received on time from my GC 
Now I am worried. What do you think?</p>

<p>I didn’t hear back by email but my phone and college counselor. Try logging into the account you created on ists to apply and if you won there is a acceptance form link to fill out at the bottom by this friday Jan 27th</p>

<p>I got it this year. i received an email recently (about a few days ago) so happy since not only is it $1000 but apparently there’s also a lot of other cool stuff that goes with it like a luncheon and some other things</p>
