I applied as a transfer for Interdisciplinary Sciences BA w/ a Health & Human Services Concentration (Social Work), but I wasn’t accepted into the major. Which is fine with me because I’ve been having a change of heart. I transferred with a 3.08 gpa.

soo being the impatient person i am, i got bored and tried seeing if i plugged my information into the online deposit form and checked if it would let me go to the payment screen and it did! does that mean i got accepted or just because i have a UB person number it would go through?

Evolved, I just tried submitting my deposit, and I received a message saying I couldn’t. I would say that you were accepted into UB. Congrats!

just to double check did you get the error after the first continue?

Yes, I did. It said something like “You are currently unable to pay your deposits” or something like that.

got the letter today, im in! good luck to those waiting!

Congratulations!

I got in yesterday!

Hey guys just a question…how did you guys get in so early? According to my app status, the school requires me to send in my final official college transcript. Did you guys have to do that?

Yep. That was the first thing I sent after my application. It is required of all transfer students.

How did you send in your final official college transcript mid year? My first year of college has not even ended.

I had withdrawn from school prior to that, so the only transcript I have is final. I think there may be a discussion here somewhere about what to do under your circumstance. I can’t remember myself.

I called UBuff today, and they said my decision is in the mail; however, I cannot pay my deposits. I’m pretty much assuming I was rejected ):

I applied as a transfer on May 28th and received my acceptance letter on June 18th. I believe all of my transcripts were received within a week of applying. Roughly 3 weeks from applying is a pretty good turnaround.

Almost forgot about this thread! I was actually accepted and I’m quite happy. I’ll be seeing everyone there this fall.

Congratulations Hong214.

Umm i got accepted to UB… bt dint get into my selected major… i have applied as an international transfer student… I hav already completed a 3yr Bachelors Degree in Comp Sci in India…

The comp/engineering dept is telling me to mail them the syllabus and transcripts again so that they can view them n accept me into a comp sci major …

Can any1 tell me if i will get accepted in the Comp Sci major?.. i mean why did the accept me in the first place and reject Comp Engineering as my major… :(

^ I’m also a transfer intended computer engineering major who wasn’t directly accepted into the major. What you do is kind of ‘mimic’ the classes and such as if you were in the major and then apply later on. Shouldn’t be a problem as long as you keep the grades up!!

pretty much you can be intended computer science until you fully meet the pre-requisites for that major.
