oh, another question: has everyone else here gotten some sort of confirmation that their application was complete? Because I've never gotten any e-mails from Stanford, and I didn't worry about it before because the FAQ said that they would send e-mails if your application was incomplete, but I'm kind of worrying now.

i applied SCEA and received a notice that my app was complete. not sure how RD works though

most of us were deferred... so yeah we are sure our apps are complete..
but I didn't get any email that confirmed that

yeah thanks SparkeEcrash78. ^ I was wondering about the order too.

thanks luciana. that makes me feel better. Is anyone else RD?

My Son is RD, and he did receive the application confirmation Feb 15. Now he is waiting for decision email.

im RD and i didn't get an email that confirmed that they have my application.

Just got back from lunch and visiting with family... checked again... still nothing. But thanks sparkeEcrash!

app2008, do you know if the confirmation e-mail came from a .edu address?

Thanks for the clarification. I still wished that Stanford had posted something on their website though.

i just got rejected T_T doh

hey guys, i just got my email at 5:10 est... rejected :( i was deferred SCEA btw... good luck to everyone

rejected as well...

SCEA, deferred. 5:12pm today, s got the reject e-mail. first reject in nine, he is already in the school he really wants to go, so it is more of an ego thing. no student in our HS had attended SU for as long as anyone can remember. best wishes all of you who are waiting to get what you want to see. this forum is invaluable.

Dear XXX

The Office of Undergraduate Admission regrets to inform you that we are unable to offer you admission to Stanford University. The overall quality of our applicant pool and relatively small size of our freshman class means that we disappoint the vast majority of our applicants each year. We acknowledge your strong interest in Stanford, which makes the task of sending you this news especially difficult.

xxx, you are a fine student with solid support from your teachers and advisors. I am confident that you will enjoy great success in your undergraduate education. I only wish we had room for everyone with talent and energy like yours.

We know this is disappointing news to receive; for that reason, and to be environmentally conscious, you will not be sent a paper copy of this letter by mail unless you instruct us otherwise. If you wish to request a copy of this letter by mail, you may do so here.

With best wishes for an outstanding undergraduate experience,

Dean of Admission and Financial Aid
