Just out of curiosity... Anyone been at MORE THAN 2 highly selective schools? Any nifty tips or tricks?

bump bump bump

haha after my college experience I would have been at 3 differnt schools

i'd like to hear more on this too.

ecape, where are you at now? where did you go before? and where do you want to transfer to?

Well, I was at Smith freshman year (b/c hs grades weren't so hot, and that was the only place I was accepted). I was accepted as transfer to Carleton, Swarthmore, and UChicago. Even though I liked Swarthmore best, I transferred to UChicago b/c I listened too much to other people *parents and UChicago profs -cough, cough. Now I'm enrolling for classes and realizing most of the classes I'm interested in are fairly large, not to mention I am in heaven in rural areas, and don't particularly like the city. I REALLY wanted an LAC experience; I wasn't thinking very clearly when I made the decision this summer because I was depressed from having mono. I'm thinking I'll try UChicago out for a quarter, but if I don't like it better in 2 months than I like it now, I want to take the rest of the year off and apply again to Carleton, Swarthmore, and maybe some less selective schools that would be a better fit for ME.

And by classes being quite large, I'm not being short-sighted. I'm talking about classes I'm interested in now, and for the next two years.

I'll be transferring for a third time...well sorta.

umm... could you plz elaborate?

Sure. I went to Colgate Univ back in Fall 2002. I had a really hard time for a various personal reasons, went on med leave. I came back in Fall 2003 but I still had major issues and I went on another med leave in Spring 2004 but with the advice of my Dean, counselor, and family I decided not to return. By the time I got home, I missed transfer deadlines plus I was still a bit unsettled so I just enrolled at my local community college. I decided to stay since I have so few grades from Colgate b/c of the med leaves I took. So, I'm looking to transfer back to a four year college (preferrably LAC) in Fall 2006. I'm looking at Bryn Mawr, Barnard, Spelman, Fordham, and Rutgers. I hope you find the college that's the best fit for you.
