Not bad. You’re certainly a candidate, but there are still a number of factors, like how competitive this year is going to be, how good your essays are, and your interview. I’d say your chances are a little over 50%. Good luck!

Scratch that, you’re from Illinois? Maybe a little higher then; there aren’t enough people from Illinois, so it’s a little less competitive for you. 65%ish?

Wow, my app is pretty similar. I’m more English/history skilled than math/science (780 USH SAT II score, 680 Lit/690 Physics), but I have a 34 on ACT (35 superscored :[), am NHS president, am from Illinois, am a white male who’d be the first generation (with beyond an associate’s degree), and I’m #2 in my class (though my school is half the size of yours). I figure you may have a moderate edge over me in test scores and ECs, but I’m submitting a very good poetic writing arts supplement and have (everyone tells me) really really good essays, and I have a bit more insane of a courseload, so I’d like to think I’m not too far behind. I agree with Shiraz9 though I think maybe the percent is a bad way to put it. If I have “a decent chance,” you have “a good chance” or some such way of putting it.

edit: just reread the first generation thing and I think that was just a template you posted, so that’s I guess one more tiny way where we even out. So I hope we both get in, lol!
