I've taken AP Physics C Mechanics this year, I'm planning to self study during the summer for the subject test in Physics (probably in October or November).

800 not a pipe dream? I'm going to use some prep books to help me review.

dude “physics C mechanics” only covers what the title says. Mechanics. the sat physics test covers mechanics, thermo, E+M, optics, modern physics, and waves. but the easy part about it is that math is algebra 1+ geometry with a little Trig. so the test is very conceptual. and also in my opinion the test has a generous curve. the test is 75 questions and 63+ raw= 800.

I know what each subject covers what. I was just wondering if it’s possible to self study the E&M, Optics, and Modern Physics during the summer just enough to get an 800. Sheesh.

I would expect so if you read through some preparatory books. I intend to self-study for the test from scratch this summer, and I am likewise hoping for 800.
