I was just wondering (or looking for some hope)

in at Harvard with 80ish up to grade 10, then 97% average in grade 11 for 7 classes, except for English, which was 77%. Yes, 77%.

It's more your rank and school.

no rank given. top 10 percent

okay that gives me some hope, except you had a 97% in grade 11!
I guess there arent many who has low GPA that got into selective schools..

3.5 UW, top 30%

in at colgate
waitlisted at penn, dartmouth, williams, and claremont mckenna
rejected from harvard, princeton, amherst

3.6ish uw (4.4ish weighted though)

in at brown, william and mary, wake forest, and great scholarships to florida and rpi
waitlisted at dartmouth, notre dame, vandy, duke, williams, pomona, etc.

3.4-5 UW
In at Chicago and UCLA.

3.8, Berkeley, most likely not instate.

3.74 at Columbia and UPenn.

3.5 uw at UChicago and Brandeis

What kind of classes did each of you take? I suppose how hard the courses are that a high school students takes makes quite a difference.

I've taken all honors classes and 7 APs total (2 junior yr, 5 senior yr) but my schools only offers 10 APs total, with the other three being languages I hadn't taken. I'm also confident my essays played no small part in my being admitted.

3.67 UW and in at Pomona.

I've taken about as hard a schedule as my school allows(8 or 10 AP's depending if you count the 2 Econs and 2 physics C's as separate + 2 CC courses). I didn't do every AP offered or whatever, but I did most of them, and I'm taking the Econ's online as they aren't offered at my school.

And I was right at that '10%' cutoff (43/430)

4.4/5 w, probably 3.5ish uw and got into cornell engineering. I'm barely in the top 20% of my class if I am that high.

anyone with low a GPA that got into NYU Stern?

3.49 unweighted

Boston College

2.0 uw
2.9 weighted
1530 SAT
in at Maryland Colli Park

3.2 Washington
1530 SAT/2400
780 US History 710 Spanish

My GPA dropped to 3.7 from 3.9 over latter junior year and early senior year....

I got into UPenn, cornell, Stanford (SCEA), among other goodies
