AP Bio Post-test

just got home

i thought the mc was good. i lucked out with all the things i didn't know because the questions about them were very easy and superficial. there were a couple of minor details that i can't believe i knew from talking in the ap bio 2012 thread. there were a few i wasn't sure about, of course, but not that many.

re: the frq, i confidently knew just one part of the entire first question, but i was able to scrape up details from what i've studied enough to get some points. i've never been so creative with an answer before lol i was pulling stuff from out of nowhere. i thought the other frqs were easy.

yeah, that’s blocked on my school laptop. oh well

i thought that the FRQ was kind of difficult

I thought the MC was pretty easy while the FRQ was hard.

MC was really easy, I completely breezed through the second half.

FRQs on the other hand… O.o

Everything that I studied - mitosis and meisos, cell structure and organelle functions, evolution, human body systems, photosynthesis, respiration, etc. - was barely on the test. Instead, 2 of the 4 FRQs were things we had barely covered in class. I left half of one essay blank and completely ********ted the other one.

Maybe the MC will save me?

Yeah I thought the MC was ok for question 30s-50s and rest were really easy. FRQ’s didn’t feel hard because I vaguely knew the subjects. Probably didn’t clarify well enough to get most of the points tho :(

for me, mc was harder than I expected. The first question really put me off guard. -.-

A complete shock to my homeostasis; threw off my metabolic equilibrium. Hallelujah, it’s over!

The question I was most sure about was number one, haha.

what the **** were those essays

Sorry to interupt, but I am a parent with probably a stupid question. I always thought everyone took the same test, but my son just came home after the AP Bio test and said that there were two versions and one was easier than the other, and he had the hard version. Does this make any sense?

tx5athome, from what i’ve heard, collegeboard has been administering multiple forms of the test. i had form o, your son may have had form e. they shouldn’t be of varying difficulty, but then again difficulty is subjective.

^thanks! I thought he didn’t know what he was talking about. He went in really confident but said that the FRQ’s were really hard and went from expecting a 4 or 5 to hoping for a 3.

i agree with what people are saying the mc wasnt overly difficult while the frq were a bit hard to remember however i remember people going over the first question in the tinychat yesterday but i forgot what they said lol

I thought the mc was fair, but some of them I had no clue 0.o

Frqs were meh, had a tough time on 2 of them, the other 2 were fine though…

I thought this years ap bio test was a lot easier than i expected! The MC was easy I thought it was basically all general knowledge! And the FRQ was more difficult! But people at my school thought the MC was hard.

does anyone know what happened to the google doc that was linked on tinychat? I went offline for a while and now I can’t open the link. :S

It might have been deleted by the collegeboard. They’ve cracking down on CC’ers I hear.
