AP Bio Recap

Just don't worry about it. Nobody understands, but I think they made it like that to get close to a bell curve distribution.

Alright, thanks =].

I thought the MC was pretty straightforward; the FR was a little harder, but we actually went over #2 in class in detail. #4a was a little tricky, we never learned specifically about the topic in class, but it could be done as long as you knew what the diagram was showing, and applied a little logic. I figured it out with 2 minutes remaining on the test, lol.

lol, I drew a smiley face on the green question sheet booklet but not my answer sheet. This way, when my teacher gives out the booklets next year to the class, the kids are gonna be like *** was this kid doing. I thought it was overall pretty easy and hopefully I got a 5. :-)

Haha somebody in mine started made the chinese checkers board and played with little pieces of paper or something (I'm honestly not sure what it was). Another made a yin-yang symbol. I should have drawn a pentacle except I ran out of time.

so if 66% or about that is a 5, does that include the FR? or is that just the percentage score for the MC?

i thought number two was hard : / FR

aim chat: apbio07

the multiple choice wasnt too bad but the free response raped me (numbers 2 and 4).

I did really well on the FRQ except for 4A. I didn't know what 4A was asking, so I just drew this: "o_O"?" I made sure to go into extremely redundant detail in all of the other questions. On one of the questions, I assumed the meaning of one word based on the second part of the question and I wrote stuff down based on what I thought it was, but I could have been completely wrong. And of course, I scattered a few sarcastic remarks throughout my essays. :D

The questions got easier in the MC as you neared 100. I was quite surprised by the difficulty of the last 40 problems or so. I think I had the most problems in the first quarter of the MC. I hope the detail I went into in the FRQ saves me.

Seriously, does ANYBODY know what #4A was asking?

And everybody's saying that MC was hard... I'm really scared now.

Now that you mention it...

I'm scared, too. o_O

Er isn't it .75 * your score... thats what it says in my PR book.

How is FRQ graded? Do you get one point for each true [and related] statement about the topic? In that case, what is the general range of points one should aim for in order to do really well? How lenient is the scoring?

I think that was when there was 120 q's. Now that there are 100 is .9 x your score.

Chaos, basically. They have a rubric and for everything that's on the rubric that's on your paper you get a point for. At least that's my impression.

Number 4 was easy. You had to know that what you saw was done by what they gave you (I really wish it was 48 hours later so I could be a bit less vague), and diagram it. You know how much the total thing is, and they broke it down, so you had to essentially draw the breakdown. That probably didn't make any sense but I'm sure I or someone else will explain in better in a couple days.

I thought the AP bio test was hard as ****!!!
The MC was a nightmare, esp. the lab quetsions.

1 and #3 of the FR was semi-easy, but 2 and 4 were what the ****??!?!?!

sory to swear, but seriously....i didnt expect it to be THAT hard!!

The FRQs go up but none of the other rubrics are up yet for the last week so I don't think those go up until much later.

woops!!!!!!!!!!!

Afruff, I did that too, but it was sloppy, and I don't know if that was right.
