AP Biology 10th grade - yes or no

Hi, I am currently an 8th grader trying to have a rough idea of what classes I want to take in HS. My school may or may offer AP Biology in 10th grade (Program of Studies was inconsistent), and I am wondering if it would be a good idea to take it. I would have completed biology and would take it concurrently with chemistry. I understand that chemistry is important for AP bio, so I would do something to get an into to it. There is no prerequisite of chem. Would taking AP biology in 10th grade be a good idea with a partial knowledge of chemistry? I am going to aim for top universities to major in a premed major.
