<p>Haven't done this lab yet, but no doubt the one exposed to light was photosynthesizing, and the 0% light was not.</p>
<p>Yeah, but the 0% light could be undergoing the calvin cycle, which is light independent reaction, but still considered a process of photosynthesis. </p>
<p>Conversely, algae exposed to light can also be going through respiration. </p>
<p>However, if the question means the algae had no light exposure for a long time, then it will be only going through respiration. Bottle with 0% would have the photosynthetic activity, but also would be going through respiration.</p>
