***AP Biology Thread 2015-2016***

PSA: I know that ALL of you are prepared, you just may not know it yet. SKIM OVER your book tonight and make sure you are ready to see everything. I KNOW every single one of you are capable of a 5, but you just don’t know it. If you focus and keep calm during the test, you will ALL get 5s!
Even if somehow you don’t get a 5 or don’t pass, it IS NOT the end of the world. If you do well, great! If not, no worries. If someone comes up to you in 3 months, says they got a 5 on AP Bio, and asks you about your score, just walk away. Clearly their priorities are not in line. It is not a big deal!
Good luck everyone!!!

thank you for your kind words~

Anyone know where to find the 58 and 69 question mc questions and answers?

@SATsRuinLife I have, and I think they are representative of the experiment based questions on the actual ap test, but there should be a few questions on the actual test that require more detailed knowledge of biological processes

Does anybody have any ideas on what some of the free response questions are going to be about? I know that they tend to not ask questions from the topics of the previous year.

I have no clue what the labs are about omg…

@photogeek8 Watch Bozeman’s review of the labs - its a lifesaver

ANY PREDICTIONS OF THE FRQ’S??

I’m the ultimate crammer, but the problem is that you simply cannot cram ALL of the ap biology material in 2 days… I tried my best, but I still have so much crap to go over it’s unbelievable. It’s so frustrating how much freaking material there is…

@blargenshmargen same!! except I truly started this morning. I’ve been trying to review since two weeks ago, tihnking I could tackle one chapter a day. Never was I so wrong.

I skipped many chapters: menstrual cycle, parts of ecology, biomes, parts of cell communication, and lab skills. And molecular bio is like so basic. Yet Im not so worried.

The exam is not based on facts; they want us to reason, so there’s some leeway to those who havent studied everything. It would definitely help in the frqs, but if you, like me, have a reasonably good grasp of the concepts, you’re good.

Im more conceptual, and I cant memorize for my life. Hope this helps!!

Moral: dont study details. Know big ideas and know concepts that range over the entire course of the exam.

I forgot all of the labs we did - are we going to have to design our own experiment on one of the essay questions?

idk, i havent seen one on the recent frqs except one, but it wasnt deep or require profound bio knowledge. Know variables, control, and purpose of experiment, and why. If that helps.

and even if one pops up, they give most of the info you need, whether it be cell res or behavior. All experiments should be based off main topics in a certain section. If cell res comes up, just think of that equation.

Well boyz, guess I was the only one who stayed up late…

Anyways, good luck to everyone today - I hope everyone here gets a 5!

GL everybody. Really Nervous right now…

Yep GL guys! Hope we all do well

I had Form O (there were two forms going around in my testing room).
I thought the MC was the hardest part. Grid-ins were easy. FRQs were fair.

I second that. There were actually 69 MC questions. Does that mean the last few were experimental ones?

@nerdmaster I only had 63 MC.

I only had 63 MC and 6 grid in

Isn’t that suppose to be 63 questions all together including grid in?
