Just do it. Seriously, just read 1 chapter a day out of Campbells. You'll be finished by the end of the 1st month of school. For Sat II bio, just read through the Kaplan or Princeton Review book. For topics you need more explanations on, just refer to the chapter pertaining to the topics in Campbells.

What's the full name? I can't find it on amazon?

BTW how can I finish a 1200 page textbook in one month :|

don't put shame into ap bio. it is a challenging class.

you can't read a chapter a day. you just can't digest it. it's a lot of information.

Ya, I highly doubt you could do that. One month?! That is like saying I could finish high school in one month. This is true, if you just read the book, but I don't think you'll be getting the full experience of the GREAT BIO!

No, I was saying since if dooit started reading the book now he could finish around the end of September. It is 55 chapters, thus 1 chapter a day is 55 days. I am doing this, and so far it has worked well for me, however I am putting alot of time into this everyday. So it is possible if one puts in the effort.

Also, I started around the beggining of July, and I am currently reading chapter 48: The Nervous System.

I just tested myself this morning on sparknotes and got a 790.

Thanks il bandito,

is the book
BIOLOGY 6th edition Campbell & Reese?

What about AP Chem? Which is the best study book for the sat II and/or the AP?

Yeah, I bought it used. Cheaper and easier to find a copy of 6th than 7th. Also, from what I hear, there isn't a big difference between the 2 editions, just prettier illustrations in the 7th.

Does anyone who has taken both AP bio and chem know which AP test is harder?

again, you are putting shame into ap bio.

I find it a bit offensive to just say "oh, ap bio is a joke" ... because, it's not. in fact, none of my ap classes have been jokes. they have been extremely tough.

is there even an AP class that is easy? I have yet to have an ap class that I could say is extremely easy. the best I could say is that ap world history was easy, but even then that is relative.

I do not recommend reading a chapter a day.

the campbell and reese book is the best. I recommend spending about a few days on each chapter... but, I don't recommend cramming for it.

When have I said that AP biology is a joke?

ap biology (the course) definitely isnt a joke.

its tons and tons of memorization and you actually have to understand all the concepts you memorize.

as for the ap test, it is not as difficult as you would think. because of the amount of information tested, the curve is high. ive heard you only need above a 60% to pass? something like that.

bout 60-65% for a 3.
It's a really interesting class, but don't act like you can ace it just by being confident.

bandito, I wasn't singling anyone out... but... it just seems many here seem to think any ap course is easy.

Around a 67% is needed for a 5.

Anyone know how schuams outlines fares for AP bio?
