<p>I don’t think I have seen anyone get into a good school without BC, but then again, I can’t recall anyone. If I do, though, I’ll let you know.</p>
<p>that’s so odd. at my school AB is a prereq before BC</p>
<p>She should take AB first, and then if she still wants she can take BC. AB is a breeze compared to BC, and AB still looks really impressive. Top schools will not reject a student because they didn’t take BC. In fact, they might not even notice.</p>

<p>That’s so not the case at my school (two to Columbia with AB as seniors, val to Williams two years ago with non-calc based math).</p>
<p>I think this just speaks to the enormous disparity between high schools. Your best bet is to talk to your D’s GC, since she has a better grasp on how colleges view AB versus BC students from your D’s school.</p>
