So I've finished IB Math SL and I'm looking to self study AP Calculus BC. I'm wondering if anyone is familiar with both tests and can tell me how much IB will prepare me for BC and how challenging it is to self study after IB?

Also I'm in my second semester of IB Physics SL and I want to self study either AP Physics B or AP Physics C. I've heard that there is a huge gap between SL and Physics C so I'm wondering if it is manageable to self study C?

If you are going into a math and physics heavy major, why not take IB math HL or AP calculus BC as a class? Also, AP physics C as a class (physics is IB’s weakest subject, and IB physics HL is not generally accepted by colleges).

At my school, they mix kids from AP Physics B and IB SL Physics into the same class, so you will be more than prepared to take the AP Physics B exam.

Can you take actual courses at a local community college? Choose the calculus and physics courses transferable to your state flagship for physics majors.
