AP Chemistry and AP Calculus AB

Can you guys give me some useful tips for succeeding in these classes? Which review books would you recommend for them? I don’t want to get any B’s my junior year because UC’s only look at 10th and 11th grade and during my sophomore year I received 2 B’s for each semester because of a death in the family.

I heard Princeton Review is good for AP Chemistry, as the tests are harder, but they prepare you well. Not sure about the best prep book for AP Calc AB. Those are two of the 6 APs I’m taking as a junior next year, and like you, I can’t/don’t wanna get B’s
But anyways I suggest looking up summer assignments for the classes (even if you already have assignments) and just practicing and perfecting pre-calc and for me, at least, pre-ap chemistry skills. That way you can start off with a strong basis and not be lost next year.

My brother took both of these courses senior year. He found both difficult, but he said calc was HARD. But he had a really hard teacher. He uses Barron’s and kaplan’s for chem. He used the textbook for calc. He thinks he did better on chem
