I am struggling with a mixture problem. Can anyone help?

A 1.500 g sample of a mixture containing only Cu2O and CuO was treated with Hydrogen gas to produce 1.252g of pure copper metal. Calculate percentage composition by mass of the mixture.

Please post!! Thanks!!

The mixture is made of copper and oxygen. After the reaction with hydrogen, only 1.252g of copper were left. Subtract that from the 1.500g you started with, which tells you that the original mixture was 1.252g copper and 0.248g oxygen.
Percent copper = 1.252g/1.500g x 100%
Percent oxygen = 0.248g/1.500g x 100%
