okay imagine that you have an unknown solution composed of Sr2+ or Ba2+ or a combination of both or none; you want to identify the solution by separating the two ions, how would you do it?

You're given H2SO4, NaOH, (NH4)2C2O4, K2CrO4, and acetic acid.
H2SO4 = white precipitate for both ions
NaOH = no ppt for both
(NH4)2C2O4 = white precipitate for both
K2CrO4 and acetic acid = SOME precipitate for Sr2+, bright yellow precipitate for Ba2+.
flame test for Sr2+ = red
flame test for Ba2+ = green

Okay i know it has something to do with acetic acid, except that i cant figure it out -_-.
