I’m wondering how my score will be affected by missing some of the prompt on this section. In my class if someone only answered half the prompt, the teacher gives an automatic score of “2”. But if you look at collegeboard’s sample from last year: http://media.collegeboard.com/digitalServices/pdf/ap/apcentral/ap14_chinese_language_presentational_speaking.pdf
a response that had a lot of hesitation and did not say anything about significance (missed part of the prompt) still got a 3. My question is:
(1) If someone addresses the culture prompt very well but does not speak about the significance, what would the score be? From the grading rubric it’s clear that task completion isn’t the only part taken into consideration (there’s also delivery and language), so don’t think it’s reasonable for an otherwise very good response to get a 2 just for leaving out significance.
(2) In other people’s experiences from past years, if you get a 2 on the cultural presentation (15% of grade), is it still possible to get a 5 overall?
