Does anybody know how important the number of AP classes you take is to UW Madison? I will have only taken 4 in total throughout high school, but I am considering adding another one second semester of this year (my senior year) to make me look better. My GPA and ACT are good enough for UW, but I'm wondering if my number of AP classes will strongly affect my chances. Please share any knowledge on this, or if you know any UW students who didn't take many AP courses. I'm Out Of State (Illinois), so the pressure is on to look good...

It’s extremely unlikely that a class that you add in the second semester of your senior year will be noticed or make a difference.

I go to a Wisconsin high school that usually accepts/enrolls a decent amount of students every year (exact number, I’m not sure, but we’re a small school and last years class had 8-10 I believe). We only offer 2 AP classes and I’ve never heard of anyone self-studying an AP. I think you should be fine! :)
