I am a sophomore looking for more AP classes. I was thinking of taking AP microeconomics on FLVS because 1. I need to take a class online to graduate 2. It’s only one semester
I also know that by using that program I can go as fast as I can and so have more time to revise for the exam in may. I have a month to decide weather or not I should registrate. Should I do it as many people say it’s easy online? What are some ways I can prepare for the AP exam after I finish the course?
Go for it. I’m currently taking my entire curiculum online (junior year), and I’m able to go at a faster/easier pace. Public learning ciriculums often slow down to meet the needs of everyone in their class, but you won’t run into this problem while online. And the faster you learn it, the more time you’ll have to study it. AP classes are no different (I’m currently taking AP lit).
Yes. It’s really easy and I just finished the class (I started in the middle of November). Modules 1 and 2 are very easy and not too many assignments. Module 3 is the longest module in the course but it can easily be finished in 2-3 weeks (this is the most important module so take good notes and memorize how to draw the graphs and the characteristics of each market structure until you know it like the back of your hand). Modules 4 and 5 are very short with 8 assignments (I think) in total. Module 6 is just a review guide and the final exam. I used the barrons prep book and it is very informative and helped me with this class. The DBAs are fairly easy if you know gist of the modules. Also it helps if you look at the DBA visuals that are provided on the help site because these are what you use for the DBA itself. The exams are also fairly easy. You can find the answers on quizlet to check yourself (I did the exam first and then checked my answers and I usually only got 3-4 wrong out of 30). As for the frqs just know how to answer the questions and be straight to the point and you should be fine. The exams and frqs are not timed so you don’t have to worry about frantically looking through your notes if you don’t know something. I got a high A in the class. Also you can resubmit everything (except for the exams and frqs) a total of three times so it’s not difficult to get 100 on almost all the assignments because the teachers tell you what you need to fix and you can ask them for help/guidance. If you do decide to take the class then I hope this was helpful
