From anyone who’s take the comp gov exam before, what advice do you have? I heard from some past testers that it was hard, while others said it was easy.
Also, for those who are taking the exam this year, here’s some sorta good links I found:

Peep wiley davis’s guides on scribd they’re super helpful

The multiple choice was okay. I wasn’t prepared for a lot of the specifics. Some stuff was fairly straightforward, other stuff was pretty rough.
The FRQs were fairly easy except for the second one. I had no idea what it was asking about, so I just wrote about cats and dogs instead. I feel like I’m on the track to a solid 4.
I had the same feeling as @akacesfan. I merely self-studied for the exam and the multiple choice was pretty solid. I’m guessing I got around 80% of it right, but I’m not sure. The FRQs were insanely easy except the last one. What the hell was that random economics term? Damn, it was rough. I wrote about policies of devolution since I didn’t know what term was. So grateful I knew everything else. I think I got a 5? Unless that 2nd FRQ was worth a lot (which it probably wasn’t), then I might have gotten 4 lol.
Anyone else?
Hi is there anyone else here who is taking the makeup exam for this class? I am on wednesday… I self studied (worst idea ever) and I really have no clue what I am doing.
@Calchong I’m also taking the makeup and I self-studied. What have you used/are you using to review?? I read Ethel Woods a couple of times, and am going through the learnerator questions and the past frq on the college board site.
@evan241 I am so glad that I found someone else who is making up the exam too!!! There are so few people taking the exam and much less that are making it up! I read Ethel Woods over the past few months in my free time, and have just been reviewing different quizlets I found online for the class. I also found this chart online: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B7oJp2I6u7zoUDFPY2NuY1FlQlU/view?usp=sharing it is great for reviewing right before the test just to refresh! Good luck! Please let me know if you find any other chart or review sheets like this
@Calchong This chart is wonderful!! I’m a bit nervous about this exam because I’m fairly prepared, but I don’t feel quite as well-prepared as I was for my other exams…Quick question…In the FRQ, they only give points for what we DO get right, am I right? So if they ask for “one example of x” and I give five examples hoping one is right, will they give me the point for the example I get right (even if the others are wrong)?
@evan241 well… on the back of the FRQ booklet (I was thinking the same thing for human geography) they said that if it asks for ONE do one don’t waste time doing another one… I am not sure if they are just saying that so its easier for the reader, easier for you, or if they take points off. I am also feeling the same way as you right now!! I am not as prepared as I was for World History or Human geo
@evan241 it may also be that if you have any incorrect information in the response that they won’t give you the point.
It was very easy, I’m anticipating a five
I am self studying for this exam. Any tips?
I am also taking 8 other APs and adv engineering (yes, i will probably die) so I was going to try and cram during summer and then study weekends only during the school year.
I have the Ethel Wood book, the Worldwide Scholar and another very short review book. Any others I should get? I didn’t see very many.
I’m also gonna self-study this class. What review books are good? (I’m seeing Ethel Wood a lot lol. Any others?)

LOL. That’s pretty much your only option.
@skieurope I’m not sure if you have taken the exam, and, thus, have the ability to credibly speak on this, but will Ethel woods cover everything I need? Looking at past AP exams, I’m realizing I have a lot to learn (as in, most of the material I haven’t picked up on from other AP classes). Will other supplements be necessary, or is Ethel Woods enough on its own?
