i dont think ive ever made up so much bs my entire life

Much more difficult than US, a couple FRQs were tricky

FRQ was easy enough. multiple choice wasn't that bad at all; had to leave 2 blank, but otherwise, it was nice enough. US gov multiple choice was a lot harder. All that last minute cramming in the chatroom last night really helped :P

you thought us was harder? are you serious?!

dude US was not hard at all IMO. comparative essays... some of it was the worst BS i've ever written. i have no idea if it was right or not haha.

i will admit on the MC sextions for both i had trouble on a few on each where i could get it down to two and i am hoping my guessing skills were right-on.

the multiple choice was okay, the frq was total crap, it wrote so much bs

US could not have been harder....comparative FRQ and MC both sucked, with FRQ really ****ty and MC being moderately bad

comp was much easier than expected, that said, it wasn't easy by any means.

us was harder than expected the wording of the mc tripped me up, practice tests were so much more straight forward

How many pages, approximately, do you think you guys filled up for the FR? It was around 11-12 for me.

if you guys want to share your thoughts on either exam, join the chatroom i started

USGOVPOL
and COMPGOVPOL

yeah i filled up maybe 11-12 pages as well.

i basically started studying last night round 5pm...haha i dont recommend it.

luckily, alot of what was on the test was knowledge i already had through other classes i take like MUN, Sociology, International Business, etc. and just plain watching the news.

I thought the MC was fairly easy. when i say easy, i don't mean that i got 100% right but i think i did well enough to get a 5 on the AP curve for the MC portion. but a good 1/4 of the questions i definitely was torn between two possible answers. im hoping i did well though because im a decent guesser....

for the FRQs....i thought it was pretty easy and straight forward. one of the country questions was kind of...random and difficult. my main issue i think was i sometimes felt like i had to bs some examples but i think i did alright.

hopefully a 4 or 5 :]

btw. anyone who wants to take this test next year. ETHEL WOOD. this and a general knowledge of world politics is all you need. i only got through half of ethel wood (i still hadnt covered mexico, iran, or nigeria) and i feel good about this test. a text book is completely unnecessary i would say.

comp gov's MC had some horribly ambiguous questions. i'll stop at there.

FRQs were pretty fun actually, although i felt the distribution of times they had reccommended for each essay question seemed a little off.

Personally, I thought the MC was pretty hard and the FRQs were easy. There were a couple I might have BSed some, but I felt like almost all of my examples were correct.

The MC was surprisingly hard. A lot of questions were very ambiguous, and I found that I had to guess on about a third of the questions. I could usually eliminate about 2-3 of the answer choices, though. If anyone remembers, the ambiguity of the MC section can be summed up in the word "federalism." Tell me if you know what I'm talking about.

The FR was pretty okay, but I had never seen two of the terms they wanted us to define. I correctly guessed the definition for one, and my examples were adequate. My definition for the second one was incorrect, but my example was adequate. I'll hopefully get points for this.

The conceptual analysis question was easy enough, and I kind of saw it coming. Some parts of the country-context questions were easy while others were random and difficult. I can't say I didn't expect that, though.

Overall, the test was more difficult than I thought it would be, and the curve better be good.

Overall I thought the test was extremely easy. I self studied this course with Ethel Woods' book. I started about 2 weeks ago reading about half a chapter a night until this weekend. On Saturday I just did about an hour of general review and then Sunday I spent about a good 6-7 hours re-reading the entire book, highlighting key points, and taking the final practice test in the back.

MC did have some ambiguous questions although some of the answers came down to 50/50 for me. I answered all the questions and probably only missed 10 at most.

For the FRQ's, I felt that they were equally as simple. In the first 5 questions, I answered 4 of the 5. One of the questions I had never even encountered the word before so I just skipped it. After I finished the rest of the FRQ and came back to it, I thought about it for 5 minutes and then just decided to leave it blank because I was lazy. The conceptual analysis was really easy since I had specifically studied that section the night before and during my classes the day of the test. Some of the country-context questions were easy, but others I actually had to think about for a couple of minutes before putting my answer down.

In the end, I'm extremely confident that I got a 5. I probably got about 90% of the test correct. For potential self studiers next year, take Comp Gov and read Ethel Woods! It's literally all you need.

i dunno
MC seemed easy for me
FR wasnt too bad either

if you guys want to talk about how you thought it was, hit me up

for aim
if there's a chatroom or something already, let me know :)

One word: butthurt. The MC was a tricky bastard and some parts of the FRQ made me vomit more BS than I think I ever have on an AP. I'm so glad that's over.

I did read Ethel Woods, which was poorly written, as far as I could tell. Perhaps I should've allotted more time to reading the whole damn thing. Bleh.

i did ethyl woods too
it wasnt that bad....

Does anyone have a sample scoring formula for comparative? That's the sheet that says (# right - # wrong) x 1/4 x 1.00023, and so forth

Thanks!
