I took AP US Gov as a semester course at my school, but they don't offer AP Comp. Can I get away with using the following study/prep book?

ISBN-13 9780738600468: AP U.S. & Comparative Government & Politics (REA)
by Keith Mitchell, J. Hamilton, R.F. Gorman

I know most of the concepts already, so can I get away without purchasing the textbook?

Please let me know. Thanks.

I would recommend that your purchase "The Ethel Woods Guide To Comparative Politics." It is considered to be the best review book and many self-studiers use it and highly recommend it. I bought mine off of amazon.com.

Ethel Woods. Nothing else comes close.

i used the rea book last year for comparative.

it was awful, and it didn't help one bit. i spent weeks staring at it, as the information was absorbed into my brain. nothing in it helped.

I know this is a necro-bump, but I used REA instead of Ethel Woods (probably a bad call). Does anyone know if I can get at least a 3 based off the information in REA (plus reading the briefing papers and all the articles on AP Central)?
