AP Credit

So I’m a freshman in Sixth College and I’m currently taking 2 classes in Summer Session I - Poli 10 and Psyc 6. I took both of these to fulfill my Social Analysis breadth requirement and Poli 10 would also fulfill the American History and Institutions requirement because I never took AP US History. I just received my AP scores, and I got a 5 on the AP Government exam, meaning that I am exempt from Poli 10 and the AHI requirement, but it is too late to drop the class and get a refund. I’m worried about how having a class with zero units earned as a result would look on my transcript (I don’t want it to seem like I failed), but should I stick with it or should I just drop the class now without a refund?

I was looking at a discussion among some premeds about taking introductory chemistry classes that were exempted because of AP, and they were fine with taking the courses and not getting credit. They were not worried about how zero units for the course would look to med schools.
