My school offers very few AP's and the AP's that they have can't be taken until at least junior year. However, my school does offer dual credit classes. These classes are what most of the smarter kids take. Will not being able to take as many AP's affect my chances at a good college?

For anyone that doesn’t know, dual credit classes are college classes that count for college and high school credit. They are offered through the local community college so that when we get out of school we can go into college as a sophomore (or junior, i’m not sure which)

No, dual-credit is just as good as AP, they are college level classes too.

I would think that dual credit courses are better tnah APs…

^ Not always.

In a number of areas the rigor differs greatly.
