AP Economics

Does anyone know what the suggested textbooks are for either of the AP economics courses? It is my plan to self-study for one of the two. I am currently taking a one semester course in economics using the book "Economics: Principles in Action" I wonder if I will be able to use this book to study for the exam as well or if I will need something else. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

The AP Economics textbooks most high schools use is "Economics" by McConnell and Brue.

I'm currently in the class and strongly urge you NOT to use the textbook alone. Unless you're a 700+ SAT verbal scorer, the text will give you nothing but headaches and sleep because it tends to be very very dense.

Instead, I highly recommend the Princeton Review's "AP Economics."

While PR has a nice book for review, if you're self-studying, I recommend Barron's AP Economics.

I strongly recommend one of Mankiw's texts.

He writes concisely yet precisely. Plus, all of his texts are very easy on the eyes.
