Did anyone else see the horrid score distribution? I'm pretty nervous for my score now... 50% of students scored below a 3. Yikes!

For those who don’t know: 8.7% = 5; 24.8% = 4; 15.6% = 3; 25.0% = 2; 25.9% = 1.

Gulp. That’s ridiculously low…I self studied, but I took the late exam so hopefully it’s better for me.

That is an abnormally low amount of 5s this year. I am scared now, the curve must have been nasty…

I took the late exam. I got raped by it. I was hoping for a good curve. Well, f–k me.

Oh well.

I can see how APES is considered one of the easier APs, but to say it’s common sense is a little bit of an overstatement… Hoping for a 4 but I’d settle for a 3

That 50% of students scored below a 3 is not what bothers me - that is quite normal. What REALLY concerns me is the shift from 5’s to 4’s this year - an abnormally low amount of 5’s and an abnormally high amount of 4’s. I’m pretty sure that my test was borderline 4/5, and I was hoping for a good curve, but this isn’t a good sign…

I almost had a heart attack when I saw that only 8.7% of students got a 5 in this one…

It’s rep as an easy AP is just because the material, work, and class are all very simple/easy. That being said, many people taking it tend to be under prepared, and AP tends to bring up random pieces of knowledge that doesn’t get covered. It’s a pretty poorly designed exam really, CollegeBoard needs to clean up the curriculum.

Yeah, I think the free response is hit and miss. Unfortunately for me it was a miss. But it’s hard to score in the top 9% on a test with relatively easy material.

^It was a miss for me as well… I’m sure the AP guy was referring to students like me when he said that lots of APES students performed poorly on FRQ #3, haha. I completely BSed that one. Guess the graders were quite unforgiving this year. My teacher had so much faith that I would get a 5. Ugh.

I guess we’ll know in nine days or so
