Hello,
I am an incoming freshman at the University of Georgia.
Students of UGA are able to see their AP scores on the “review scores” page which has all SAT, ACT, AP scores on the UGA page. Although the scores are officially released on the Collegeboard page on July 8th for Georgia residents, I don’t see how I got such low scores on my AP tests based on what the UGA page has displayed.
According to the scores represented on the UGA scores page, I received a 1 in US government and Microeconomics and a 2 in Calculus AB and Statistics. I felt very positive leaving the testing room after these tests and I cannot agree to the fact that I got these low scores. I believe there MUST have been a mistake in the scoring process.
Based upon what I have reviewed, all of my classmates who are attending UGA in the fall has received no score of a 1 on the US government test. I also got an A in the class itself and studied a lot for the test so I don’t understand how I got a 1.
Also, when I took a pre-test for Calculus AB with the class and teacher, I received a 3 even though my teacher said that the pre-test is actually harder than the actual AP test itself. However, on the actual AP test, I received a 2. On both semesters for Calculus AB, I maintained a high B grade during both semesters.
For AP statistics, I have gotten A’s in both semesters of the class and got a 2 on the AP exam. Honestly, I thought I did well on this exam as well but according to collegeboard, I only deserved a score of 2. I did pretty well in the class itself with an average of A’s in test averages on both semesters as well.
I know that it’s very unlikely that I had all these scores with fault from collegeboard but I also find it unlikely that I got these low scores. Just the AP government exam of 1 is surprising itself because I know that it is almost HARD to get a 1 on that AP exam.
It is very frustrating to me to see such low scores that are uploaded on the UGA page and I wish to have them reviewed and rescored.
Is it likely or unlikely that rescoring these scores will make any difference? I really need better scores to exempt some of my classes at UGA. Not only would it be a burden as my financial status, I would hate to see myself in such a bad situation.
Please and thank you.
