AP exams in Singapore

In order to prepare for applications to college in America, do Singapore students take the SAT and AP exams on their own time or do the schools guide them through this process?

I have read that Raffles let their students do some AP exams, but did the school teach the subjects to help the students prepare for the AP papers?

Do Singapore students who got into American colleges feel that your school had guided you well in the application process?

Or were the JC 2 students having a hard time trying to handle the applications and American exams independently while coping with A levels/ IB studies at the same time ?

A Levels are pretty much the equivalents of AP so there isn’t much of a point taking them to be honest. I, along with the vast majority of those heading to the US, have never taken them. SAT prep is easy enough, so juggling shouldn’t be an issue for the able student.
