***AP French Language and Culture Thread 2015-16***

Good luck everyone! Let’s do our best!

It wasn’t too bad imo.
Also (idk if this counts as discussing frq but I’ll risk it) does anyone know if omitting a conclusion on the essay will bring it down a grade (like from a 5 to a 4, or 4 to 3)?

GEEEZ that was such a long exam… I thought everything was all good except for the conversation simulee - I was too nervous and did really crappy on this part. Anyways, hoping for a 4.

The Master CD for the conversation part of the test was cracked so it wouldn’t play at my school… The college board is making everyone take the make-up. Hope I don’t have to redo the entire thing!

I felt this AP exam was really difficult. I guess I was underprepared or what have you but the m/c was extremely difficult for me as well as both speaking parts. Hoping to just pass this exam at this point.

That test was an actual nightmare.

that test was ENDLESS. i don’t feel particularly bad about it, but i don’t feel great either. i think i did well on the mc and writing sections, which i hope will make up for my performance on the oral component(i was extremely anxious about it). the oral section was hard, but i’m hoping i didn’t do too badly
does anyone know if ap language exams get curved?

I did terribly on the oral section. Also did not expect the presentation topic to be what it was.

I don’t even remember what I said on the oral section anymore LOL. Other parts were alright, though I had trouble with some listening parts.

test was hard

Literally crying right now about this exam… the more I think about it the more I realized I wasted $92…

  1. How much does cultural accuracy matter in the cultural response? I didn't know recycling culture in francophone countries so I said something like, the people in my area don't seem to value recycling much because __, but when I went to Nice, France it seemed like everyone really valued recycling and so should learn from them etc--like if I just made that up how bad is that?
  2. I only knew 1 city in Western Africa (Dakar) so is it okay if I was just like "I only want to go to seulement 1 city--Dakar, it is my dream" is that ok?
  3. I guessed titulaire meant accident so since I read that graph wrong one of my supporting evidences is gonna be completely off...how major of an issue is that? Ahh I want to get a good score but it looks like I made some major errors.

omg. that exam tho… i think i did very well on the courriel but i forgot to ask a question. i’m seriously mad at myself for forgetting that, how significant is that mistake?? and my essay was extremely short (like 1.5 pages)

Yea everybody is saying it was hard (and my exam took 4 full hours…) - hopefully the curve will be generous…

@1947073399 they didn’t ask you to ask for details in this prompt.

@PsychicPanda2 If it makes you feel better, due to inflation the exam costs like $130 here in Canada haha

Wait really? My teacher always told us to ask a question at the end. I really hope you’re right though!

@1947073399 We will know at noon today

@kyunghee Well I took one for the team and got a 1 for the boys, good luck to everyone wasted my high school career taking this crap lol.

A miracle that I got a 5…that exam was actually the worst I have ever taken in my life. I remember it took my group FIVE HOURS to do. Afterwards my class and I went out for free cone day at Haagen Dazs to drown our sorrows in ice cream. Guess cb was generous this year with the curve—b/c the listening and reading section and oral for me went atrociously. And I usually like French :stuck_out_tongue:
