How about late testing when do you get your scores for that and can you call for them or not ( i know you cant call on july one but can you call later on?)

Besides, they ask you for your credit card number before they give you the scores! You'll know they're going to charge you. The $8 is for all your Spring 2007 AP scores.

Xylem, you'll probably receive your scores in the mail at about the same time as they'll be available by phone. The whole late testing system seems very disorganized, so there's a high possibility that you might not even be able to get them over the phone at all...

Nah I'm not doing that. If I were to find out by phone that I got a gasp FOUR, I might go into a state of manic depression...

well, not really but I probably would say "oh well no 5000 dollar scholarship for me" (that's AP Siemens for the 32423423rd time)

wow, that confident for national 1st? all national winners have high raw-score 5's in all 8 subjects.

eh then probably just state winner for me...my CS AB and physics EM scores are probably lower 5s... although hopefully my "perfects" in chem, physics M and Stat make up for it, but who knows?

which state? im pretty confident too--louisiana is like a desert. hopefully, i have 5: phys c both parts, calc bc, stat, and chem. the male winner this year in our state (who went to my school too) had 3--calc bc, stat, and chem.

Wait, the most AP tests someone took in Louisiana was 3? Ugh, what the hell.

Poiuytrewq, the Siemens competition only considers math/science AP exams taken before senior year. I'm sure many people in Louisiana take more than 3 AP exams total.

Oh okay, I wasn't reading very carefully. I thought you guys were talking about the AP State Scholar thing.

Nevertheless, that's still a pretty low number... You'd think that there would be at least one person who'd gotten 5's on 4 AP science exams.

Even if it is Louisiana.

why doesn't the Siemens award count Calc AB?

tongchen my state is NY, which means that although I probably need all 8 APs, I won't need near-perfect (90%+) in each AP to win.

DiGamma: because Calc AB is a ***** exam...

lol jk, it's because BC is the more comprehensive and hence more "mathy" one, just like how CS AB is counted and not CS A, and Physics C is counted and not B...

poiuytrewq:
i think it has to be by the end of junior year too. so its a lot harder than it seems.

piccolo, how would they know your raw scores? I thought CB didn't release ANY of that info, other than your scaled score

Just estimation based on what I got right/wrong by checking after the exam...for instance, I screwed up questions 1 and 3 of the E and M FRQ this year and probably got no higher than a 23 or 24 on it, and I got at least 30 right on the MC, which is scaled to about 60 or 61 out of 90 (for the whole thing).
